The Keys to Success: Lunchbox Opens Up
We often wonder what the magical “keys to success are.” Truth is, they’re not magical: you’ve still got to work. But if you’re willing to forgive that little issue, then Lunchbox has a bit of a treat for you: the four keys to success that he has managed to build his career upon.
One of the most common misconceptions about competitive Halo 3 is that a sick BR and a good sniper can carry you to the top.
While these are necessary elements of a top player, they are not what set the best above the rest.
Key 1: Awareness
The top players are all well-rounded and able to work through different situations thrown at them during a game.
A key attribute enabling them to do this is having excellent awareness, which plays a key role in decision-making. Knowing when to push up when you have the enemy outnumbered or whether to stay alive if you are one of the last guys on your team alive. As well as choosing the correct times to flank or help team shoot.
The biggest reason awareness plays such a huge role in Halo 3 is because the game is so situational.
If your team is making a push through green and camo on the Pit and you find yourself to be the last guy alive, the best play would be to stay alive and wait for your time to spawn.
You could do this by hiding in your needler pit or at the enemy base…

Lunchbox is an extremely talented player, this article is another reason why the Gaming-Lessons players club is such a great steal. I’m looking forward to see what else we have to show the folks in the upcoming days.
